My Project NC30's

This site is dedicated to the story of my project Honda VFR400 NC30 RIII's , probably the best 400 ever built.

Firstly I'd like to welcome you to my site and tell you about my favourite project of all,  the rare UK VFR400 NC30.

After findng a rather scruffy but rare UK model I was driven to put her back on the road, she looked rather in a bad way but with low mileage and the quality of the build I knew she would be worth the effort.. Who knows maybe I could have her looking better than ever.  

I've had lots of experience building the grey imports in my spare time and to be honest there's very little difference between the grey and the UK versions.  I've spent hours in the garage restoring her, it's only when you start to see things come together that it all becomes worth while.  She looks amazing and I'm sure that you will fall in love with her at first sight.  If you're a decerning type and want to have quality then that comes from starting with the best 400 ever built. The single swing arm just adds the right touch.

So go ahead and pick up a tatty NC30,  it's all good fun putting them back on the road but it will take some serious effort.  This bike has taken 2 years to date and she's still not entirely finished. 

Restore to their original condition and colour scheme,  well I do see the importance of this but I've never been into some of the older schemes,  this was a fantastic opportunity to freshen up the old girl.

Typicaly once you've spent weeks stripping down the NC30 and rebuilding her to her former glory you're left with one huge decission!  What paint scheme do you use to fully capture the essence of the bike?  Well for once it was easy,  why not stick to the later NC30 schemes but add you own little touch,  we decided to lift the colours by opting for PEARL Paint

It was a good choice,  when the sun hits the body everything looks just that much better.  I guess it's the little things that count.
